Lemon Habanero Chili
( Capsicum chinense )
Spicy lantern-shaped fruit - Caribbean Chili !
Description of the variety: The name of this Habanero pepper is due to the yellow color of its fruits when ripe. The lantern-shaped fruit is 5 cm long and 2.5 cm wide. The pods are fruity and sweet and spicy and have a unique apricot-like taste.
The chili can be eaten fresh and is used in stews or sauces.
The chili peppers are ready for harvest after about 90-100 days.
Before sowing, moisten the soil, sprinkle seeds on it, cover very thinly and press down lightly. At 20°-26°C, the seeds germinate after 8-14 days.
Give the young plants suitable fertilizer as early as the beginning of May. Special tomato and pepper fertilizer has a long-term effect and can be easily worked into the soil. The location should be bright to sunny and warm. Water generously. At night, the temperature should not fall below 16°C.
Pepper plants always look neat and become even more beautiful when the fruits turn from green to red in late summer/early autumn or decorate the balcony or terrace in yellow or dark purple. Then the harvest takes place and you can use this healthy vegetable in a variety of ways. Enjoy your meal!
